This living room needed more than a TV on a wall. The homeowner had a vision: a full-height charcoal slat wall with a large-format TV centered above an electric fireplace console, backlit with LED strip lighting. The process started from scratch. Plywood backing panels were installed across the entire wall to create a solid, stud-independent mounting surface. Full-height acoustic slat panels were then fitted over the backing, floor to ceiling, with a precision-cut recess for the TV mount bracket. The bracket was secured through the slat wall into the plywood substrate, rated for the load and perfectly centered. Once the TV was mounted, cables were managed cleanly through the wall cavity. LED backlighting was installed behind the slat panels, and the entire system was tested and dialed in before leaving the job. The result is a living room that looks like it was designed that way from day one.
